Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 20, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how VoiceBar collects, uses, stores, and protects information in connection with the website, account area, and application.
VoiceBar is operated by Hanan Ganon Productions. At launch, the business operates as an exempt dealer / exempt business. A business registration number, full address, or additional registration details will be shown only in documents or contexts where required by law, payment processing, or accounting requirements. Public support address: support@calotec.app.
Who We Are
VoiceBar is a Windows application that lets users convert speech to text and paste the text where they are working.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When a user signs up or signs in, we store or may store:
- Name.
- Email address.
- Account identifier from a sign-in provider, such as Google.
- Account creation date.
- Subscription status.
Device Information
To enforce device limits and protect account security, we store or may store:
- A device identifier generated by the application.
- A device fingerprint or fingerprint hash used to enforce device limits, protect registered access from abuse, and prevent easy reset of usage limits.
- Device name or operating system.
- Sign-in and last-use timestamps.
- Active or deactivated device status.
Non-Content Usage Information
To manage usage limits, billing, abuse prevention, and service stability, we store or may store:
- Usage timestamps.
- Audio duration or number of requests.
- Type of action performed.
- Success or error status.
- Technical error code.
This usage information does not require storing audio content or transcript content.
Payments
Payments and subscriptions are processed by external payment providers. We may receive information such as:
- Customer identifier at the payment provider.
- Subscription status.
- Renewal, cancellation, or period-end date.
- Transaction or subscription identifier.
We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
Audio and Transcripts
VoiceBar does not store audio or transcript content on our servers as part of normal service operation.
When transcription requires processing services, audio may be processed by transcription-processing services required to operate the product. These services process audio to deliver the transcription result.
We retain non-content usage metadata such as request duration, request time, account ID, device ID, and technical error data for billing, fair-use enforcement, security, and abuse prevention.
We do not write audio or transcript content to persistent storage on our servers, including logs, error reports, or backups. If a request fails, error reports should include only technical data such as status code, timing, request ID, and error details, not audio or transcript content.
Transcription processing may take place outside Israel, including in countries such as the United States or countries in Europe. Where required by law, cross-border transfers will use appropriate legal mechanisms and safeguards.
VoiceBar does not use your audio, transcripts, or account data to train AI models.
Local Information on the Computer
VoiceBar may store on the user's computer:
- Transcript history.
- Correction dictionary or correction learning.
- User preferences.
- Local usage data and usage-reporting queue.
- Technical log files.
This local information is intended to benefit the user, such as recovering transcripts, improving paste quality, and improving corrections. It is controlled by the user and their device.
In some cases, the app may read the text in the target field to verify that paste succeeded or to learn local corrections. This reading is not intended to send target-field content to our servers.
Deleting the server-side account does not always automatically delete information already stored locally on the user's computer. The user can delete local information through the app or operating system depending on available features.
Use of Google Information
If a user signs in with Google, we use only basic information required for identity verification and account management:
- Google user identifier.
- Email address.
- Name and profile picture, if available.
We do not request access to Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or other private Google services.
Our use of information received from Google is limited to user authentication, account management, and providing the service.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements where applicable. Specifically:
- We use Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in VoiceBar, such as account sign-in and account identity.
- We do not transfer Google user data except as needed to provide or improve those features, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with notice to users where required.
- We do not use Google user data for advertising.
- We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless we have the user's affirmative consent, it is necessary for security purposes, to comply with law, or for internal operations where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
You can revoke VoiceBar's access to your Google Account at any time at:

How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Authenticate sign-ins.
- Manage subscriptions and payments.
- Enforce device limits.
- Enforce the Fair Use Policy and usage allowances.
- Provide access to transcription services.
- Show usage as a percentage, reset date where applicable, and upgrade option.
- Send important service notices.
- Send marketing emails only if the user has opted in, with an unsubscribe option.
- Diagnose issues and improve stability.
- Prevent abuse, fraud, or harm to the service.
What We Do Not Show Users
We may use internal operating data to manage the service. These details are not shown to users. The user-facing display is percent used, limit state, and reset date where applicable.
Providers and Sub-processors
We may share limited information with providers needed to operate the service. We do not broadly share "all user data" with third parties; each provider receives only the data categories needed for its limited purpose.
Expected service-provider categories at launch:
- Transcription-processing services: may process audio submitted for transcription only for the purpose of generating text.
- Payment services: may process payment-related and transaction-related information. Payment services should not receive audio recordings or transcript content from VoiceBar.
- Sign-in services: may provide basic account information such as email address and profile identity, according to the permissions approved by the user.
We may also use infrastructure, hosting, security, and technical monitoring providers needed to operate the website and servers.
We do not sell users' personal information.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, including separation of secrets, encrypted connections, keeping secrets out of source code, and access control.
However, no system is completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting passwords, Google accounts, devices, and local files.
Data Retention
We retain information as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, manage billing, resolve disputes, and maintain security.
- Account information, subscription status, usage percentage, reset dates where applicable, and basic payment records: retained while the account exists.
- After account deletion, we will act to delete account data from active systems, except for minimal records that must or reasonably should be retained for legal, accounting, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, security, dispute-resolution, or compliance reasons.
- Non-content usage records: retained as needed for billing, fair-use enforcement, cost reconciliation, and abuse prevention.
- Payment and accounting records: retained according to applicable tax and accounting obligations.
- Audio and transcript content: not retained on our servers as part of normal service operation.
User Rights
Depending on applicable law, users may request:
- Access to personal information.
- Correction of information.
- Account deletion.
- Data export.
- Discontinuation of service use.
Requests may be sent to support@calotec.app.
Depending on applicable law, users may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in their country. In Israel, the relevant authority is the Privacy Protection Authority.
Children
VoiceBar is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we learn that such information was collected, we will act to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If a material change is made, we will provide notice on the website or in the app as appropriate.
